Hi Michelle, Don't worry about those folks who accuse you of preaching. They are just not in God's perfect will and are feeling guilty so they strike out. Just forgive them and go on. You're going to do just fine in surgery. God wants to give you this gift and then allow you to give Him the glory when you lose the weight and encourage others who suffer from M.O. to follow your footsteps. I'll be praying for your surgeon and all those who assist him and for your quick recovery. God bless you.
