I wish you all the very best on your surgery. I wish your surgeon a steady hand and I wish you a speedy recovery and and a rapid weight loss. I thought I would wake up during surgery too so I had a talk with the gas passer and warned him. He told me that he guaranteed that I would not come to. I didn't!! Let your dr. know about your fears. They understand. Again, good luck to you and your new life.

Anne, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine last November in Mpls, and I have never had a single regret. One thing that may help to remember is that the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.
