September 22nd Dear Michael: Greetings! I read your post today and your experience matches mine completely!!! I'm just a few days over 30 days post-op and I've learned through pain NOT TO EAT FAST---CHEW THROUGHLY/SLOWLY AND TAKE SMALL BREAKS BETWEEN BITES. It's a learning experience, but an excellent lesson learned (if you don't enjoy the pain). I hope everything goes well for you. Sincerely, Lori Ann

Hooray! Aetna has approved my RNY, within hours of the material going in. My surgery has been postponed until next Tuesday, Aug. 20. I am giving autologous blood, just in case. Has anybody any experience with needing transfusions during surgery?
