Hi. Hope your feeling better. I stopped breathing after surgery in my room. Guess I was over medicated. My daughter gave me mouth-to-mouth and then I was in ICU for a day. Don't remember a thing. Thankful my daughter was there. Just home from hospital and feel achy. Beginning to wonder if I did the right thing. I'm already down 10 lbs. in 5 days. My girlfriend keeps telling me to think about being skinny and getting a new wardrobe. Hope your feeling better.

Hello all! I am home!! I had surgery on the 11th and I ran into complications. II have rhabdomyalysis and it occured from being on the surgical table too long. My mucscles in the lower back are damaged. I went into renal failure and was in the hospital 14 days. I am home which is the best part of it all. Pray for me. I am trying to rest and get better. Write me anytime. Would love to hear from you..

Hi Barbara, I want to wish you good luck and smooth sailing with your surgery. I just had mine last Tuesday and I can tell already it is going to be the best thing I could do for myself. Make certain you get some sugar free popsicles (they are life savers) and count as fluid. My doctor puts everyone on Prevacid the first month (sprinkle it on a spoon of food~applesauce is best) and I have had no nausea. See you on the losing side.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery and your new lifetime journey on the losing side. Right now you are probably on a rollercoaster emotionally - excited, nervous, scared.... This is normal - don't let it freak you out. Take the time over the next few days and 'center' yourself mentally - focus your mind on other things and keep yourself physically busy too. You will find that your big day will be here in no time and you will be calm and ready for it. We will be here ready to welcome you over to the losing side and support you in your journey. Good luck and hope everything goes well for you. Sarah G LapRNY 6/22/04 295/264/150
