Congrats Kathleen! WOW! that is great. I have been just approved and Dr. Obrien is my surgeon also. I am SO looking forward to the day I will be walking in your shoes. =) Please continue to keep us posted.

It has now been a year since my surgery and I got into size 8 pants yesterday. Started out with size 24 pants. I wanted to tell the world how good it felt to be able to fit in those size 8's. Still no problems with eating. Dr O'brien called me an "incredible success" at my last appointment. I have now lost 113 pounds, and am hoping the extra skin will disapppear with time. I think it will. I can now walk 2 miles at a time. At 255 pounds, I could barely walk around the block as my knees were very bad. Thank God for the surgeons, especially mine, who have acquired the knowledge to do gastric bypass surgery.
