Wow, Lynn! That's awesome! I'm so happy for you. Congratulations. And it will just keep getting better. I don't know of a support group, but I am sure you will find one.

Lynn, its very common to have a loss of appetite post-op, be grateful! *grin* It takes a while to really get a feeling for your new pouch and to know when you reach fullness. If you are able to eat anything without dumping, you will have to be much stricter with yourself, as I have had to be. As you continue on your journey, fluid loading will be of major importance to your long term success. If you don't know what that is you may want to visit this site:
http://www.oregoncenter.com/bluebook.html
Best wishes to you! You are doing great so far!

Lynn---Saw your post on the message board. Congrats on getting below 400!!! I had to take a minute to write you, because we started out pretty similar (445; had open rny on June 18, 2001). Anyway...I have to tell you, the 400 went right by me because it was still so early on....but just wait until you get under 300!! Woohoo...it's such a feeling!!! I feel funny sometimes because I'm so incredibly happy about it, when there are people under 300 just having the surgery. But you know what....to each his/her own! Good luck on continued progress. I too have no trouble with any foods...and therefore recommend to you NOT to try any sweets or the like until you're pretty far along. That's my one downfall. Hasn't stopped the loss so far, but I'm keeping my eye on it (and my hand away from my mouth) as much as possible! Take care.

Lynn, Your profile sounds a lot like my life, except I am 4 years younger than you. My 4 year old daughter is the life of my light. I say that backwards because without her my lifelight wouldn't shine as bright. I am praying that you will have a successful surgery and are quickly on the road to recovery to be the best running and jumping mother that you can be. Please take care of yourself and keep us updated to your progress.
