Congratulations on your upcoming surgery and your new lifetime journey on the losing side. Right now you are probably on a rollercoaster emotionally - excited, nervous, scared.... This is normal - don't let it freak you out. Take the time over the next few days and 'center' yourself mentally - focus your mind on other things and keep yourself physically busy too. You will find that your big day will be here in no time and you will be calm and ready for it. We will be here ready to welcome you over to the losing side and support you in your journey. Good luck and hope everything goes well for you. Sarah G LapRNY 6/22/04 295/258/150

Kathy, I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers these next few weeks through your diet and surgery. Things will not be easy but nothing that you can't handle. You seem to be a very strong woman with plenty of support, make sure that you use it. Best wishes for a fast recovery, and I will see you on the losing side.

Thanks for thinking of me. I was very happy to see your note. Wonderful to hear about 24th. Very exciting. As my page has taught you, be prepared. I've done well after my trouble in the hospital. Haven't lost as much as I wished. Feel very unrestricted. Still better off now than I was before. My best advice for you is stay excited and positive. Read the good and bad profiles. Stay on guard. This can be a wonderful experience. But don't forget to look for warning signs and ask for help. I hope you'll have good support while you're in the hospital. A voice for you. I was just talking with some guys from a Texas group and I finally saw it. Guys admitting they were crying in the hosptial. The morphine can make the hardest shells crack. Having a friend with you to speak for you is so important. In a drug induced haze you need a point of reference. Know all these things and you'll be fine. Wishing you nothing but the best. -Mike
