I am back!!!! I had open rny on 11/18/02@7:15AM and was released wed evening. All went well with the surg except they found a very large ovarian cyst and had to remove my left fallopian tube and ovary. I was suprised at the size of it. They said it was the size of a grapefruit. I am staying with my loving mother who is a rn and is caring for me better than any care I could have recieved in a hospital. I am overwhelmed by the depth of her devotion and love and will never ever take our relationship for granted. I have always been close with my mother but I think all of this has brought us even closer. She bought me a journal to record all of my thoughts about day to day life after surgery. She has been taking pictures of me against my will stating that I will want them in the future to compare the old and the new with. I have recieved so much support from my family and friends while in the hospital and during this recovery time. I truly feel blessed and and know that my success in the future will be because of all the people that have loved and supported me through this. I have to include all of the caring members of this board. Thank you for the continued support and prayers. The words of encouragement were so special and appreciated. I go back to the Doctor this Wed for my first appt hopefully all will be well. I have to say if I never eat chicken broth again it won't be too soon yuck!!! I am doing my best to get my walking in everyday and drinking my water as well. I am still so very tired and seem to be sleeping a great deal but I guess I need that to mend. I also have been passing a lot of gas lately I hope that is normal. Still no BM excuse me if this offends anyone I was just wondering if this was normal? I haven't had one since the morning just before surgery. Oh well I guess that is all Thanks again to one and all and good luck to those still fighting for approvals and to all of those with upcoming surgeries!!! Rachael Lindley open rny 11/18/02
