Hello Everyone, It has been quite a while since my last update, so at this time I want to share with everyone my successful journey with weight loss surgey. Currently I am 8 months post-op and there is 107 lbs.less of me. ( officically a member of the Century Club... YEEEAAA ) I also wanted to take the time to share some of my experiences that created a few obstacles along the way. I believe my first three months were the hardest to over come, and I even wondered at times if it was worth all I was going through. (we all know it is huh?) The first few weeks I couldn't keep any liquids down maybe a little frozen not to sweet juice. I became dehydrated. I didn't desire to eat anything for the first 6 weeks, and most of the time when I did i couldn't , So I just didn't eat. I really didn't have a appetite and would nibble a little when my stomach allowed. I was light headed and dizzy all the time. I devoloped hypoglocemea and was on the verge of becoming seriously mal-nourished. I returned back to work after 6 weeks off and I must say it was very hard based on the work I do. Plus it was summer, hot and I was very weak from lack of nutrution. I had a fainting spell that landed me in the hospital overnight. All the things I experienced was not a reflection of the sugery, had I did what I was suppose to been doing I believe I would have been fine , Like now everything is almost balanced out.I take my vita like i suppose to..... (ok maybe the fact that the surgery took all my desire to eat away...and that's a good thing yea!!) After that I really forced myself to eat a little something all the time. Still this was a slow process, and along with the vitamins ( very important)I am finally glad to announce I feel great. I eat anything I want, just not like before, smaller portions and much slower. Oh something else, always chew your food, because it will let's you know when you don't. At 107 lbs less I Feel great. I have a new attitude on life to go along with my new body. Everyone around me tells me how great I look, and those that haven't seen me for a long time don't even reconize me.I must admit I like the little extra attention, who doesn't. In closing I would like to say that my experience with WLS has been a long road, but the best decision I have ever made. So for all of you considering, go ahead and make the decision for a healther and fruitful life. Life begins at the CENTURY CLUB!! Yvonne

Wednesday May 29t Hello everyone I am Sheree, Yvonne's angel of information and support. As you all know Yvonne's surgery was on Wednesday May 29th. I will first of all start by telling you that she came through with flying colors and no complications. (Thank God for answering our prayers) I'm sure when she is up to it she will fill eveyone in on all the details herself. Yvoonne arrived at the hospital around 7:10am. I was getting a little worried because she was suppose to be there at 6:45 and her surgery at 8:15. But she came through the doors smiling, ready with excited and nervous anticipation. The called for her to go back into prep around 7:30. At that point they did all the regular things, such as bloodwork, blood preasure etc. They also went over all the paperwork that I'm sure all you have read at one time or another. Everything seem to be in order except they couldn't find her EKG paperwork. ( I htink her hearst missed a little beat) So they ordered another one and everything was fine. At this time her doctor had still not come in and I could feel her anxiety rising a little as everyone was asking her if she had seen her doctor and her scheduled surgery time had passed. (something about a Wednesday staff meeting) Doctor Elariny finally showed up at 8:55 and asked her more questions and had her sign more papers. At this time everything was in order and the Doc said he would see her in OR. The nurse came in a gave her a little happy juice in her IV and we gave her hugs and they wheeled her out around 9:15. About 1:45 the Doc came out and told us that she was in recovery and everything went well and gave us a list of medicines that she would probably need for different things, mostly for nausea and gas. They called for us at 3:15 and said that we could meet her in her room. At this point she sleep all night and said that her stomach hurt and was thirsty. Other than that a real trooper. Thursday Morning May 30th, I arrived at the hospital around 7am and she was alert, but still dozing off and on. SHe was pretty nauseated and could'nt keep the water down. They gave her a shot and that seemed to help. They took out all of her little instruments that they use when your in the hospital especially when they want you to get up and start walking. So by the later part of the afternoon she had been up walking around and was able to eat and keep down some sherbert icecream. Imagine That!!! From what I can see Yvonne is on her way to whole new life!!! I would like to thank all of you for your support as I'm sure Yvonne will very soon. Continued Blessings All
