Hi Lissa, It's truly been a very long time since we've communicated. I hope that this email find that you are doing well. I read your updates and I'm so happy that you are truly working your "TOOL". I'm still a very slow loser but a happy loser. I recently made my 10 month post-op on the 27th and have only lost 75lbs but I've not had any complications and I'm just happy that I am losing. I can't ever remember losign 75lbs prior to surgery in 10 months so I don't have anything to complain about at all. I wish you much success with reaching your goals. Many Blessings, Marilyn Lexington, KY 341/266/175 3/27/03 (-75lbs)

Congratulations on crossing over to the losing side! My humble advice? Walk as much as possible after surgery. As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging back the protein drinks in baby [pouch] gulps. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, YOU are worth it. Also, let's not forget your new best(est) friend, water. It is SO important to get your minimum 64 oz in daily. One final thing, CELEBRATE all the special moments along the way, big or small. Too many people focus only on numbers, ie. pounds lost. There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace on this journey - don't let any of them slip by. Enjoy your new healthier life, you've more then earned it!! NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels!! ....Hugs and smiles : )

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the supportive e-mails and messages I have gotten. The outreach from people that you don't even know means so much more than if it had come from a longtime friend. Thank you so much for your continued thoughts and prayers. Like one of the many encourging e-mails I got, I must quote this one in particular: "I know the Lord didn't bring you this far not be with you the whole way through." Thanks so much. (((HUGS)))
