Dear Mary, Welcome to the "Other Side":) I hope the rest of your recovery goes smoothly:) My surgery was Aug 23rd, I too was in the hospital for 7days and can relate to having to be unplugged from things everytime I had to go to the bathroom. But I was determined to not let anything embarras me. After these people chose the carreer, so if they had to clean up after me, it was their choice. But here at home things are easier. Now at 17days post-op the hardest thing is getting in enough water & protein in 24hrs:) I hope you're having better luck at it than I am:) Sending Warm Healing Skinny Thoughts your way:) ttfn

Hi! I had surgery almost two weeks ago! I was in the hospital for 8 days!!! They didn't remove my NG tube for 6 days...that was horrible. I had to be connected and disconnected everytime I had to go to the bathroom! When you are as independent as I am, this was the worst! With the staff as limited as it is, as long as I had to get up to pee I might as well walk around the floor. Six times a day around the entire eighth floor and no gas! I am home and doing fine now..drinking what I can and trying an occasional soup or pudding. My mom and kids have told me they can see a difference already! Great support team. Thanks for all you cards, thoughts, and prayers!
