My prayers will be with you as you go through the surgery and recovery. May your strength be restored; your recovery be swift and your tender heart be renewed.

I had my surgery with Dr. Cerebona in Feb 2002, and I'm down 125 pounds and at goal now. You can reach me at [email protected]. Be warned, Westchester Medical Center is not a great place. Take your earplugs with you, as well as someone to stay with you ALL the time. Technically, my surgery went wonderfully and I am very satisfied post-op. However, if you want more details on WMC, send me an e-mail.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery, Gary! I had my WLS exactly one year before yours, on May 30, 2002. I had no complications and it was the best decision I ever made for my health. May you enjoy a swift and smooth recovery, good results, and wonderful health. Good luck!

Gary--oh, the agony of waiting extra time! Well, you should be calmer about it for the next date (at least that's how I get when the expected gets delayed). Hope you have an uncomplicated surgery and speedy recovery. Warm blessings, positive thoughts, and best regards! Peace--terry

Gary, I just noticed that today is your surgery day/date....I hope all is going well.... As you take your journey to the inner, and thinner you, remember: The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 For I am the LORD, you God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13 Don't tell GOD how big your storm is. Tell the storm how big your GOD is! Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 I have heard your prayers, I have seen your tears. Surely, I will heal you. 2 Kings 20:5 I'm hoping you have a successful surgery, a rapid recovery, and much success in your weight loss journey. Des's date of surgery 3/13/2002 Pre-op weight =316#'s, current weight on 5/5/2003 = 174#'s , -142#'s
