Hi Susan, CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss. I had my surgery at UK by Dr. Gandsas and as you may of heard he is no longer here at UK but has relocated to Maryland. We no longer have support group meetings at UK and I'm having a problem with slow losing. I can't afford the 350.00 that Dr. Steiner and Knighbert wants for their support group so is it possible for you to share with me what you do for your pre-op and post-op diet. I'll be 10 months on the 27th and have only lost 74lbs. I get so depressed and need some help. I've recently did see the nutritionist, endocrinologist and my PCP and they all think that I'm doing okay and say the same thing, "It's better to lose slowly because it's healthier". Well I'm just not satisfied with this. I exercise 5-6 days a week. I drink plenty of water daily. I take my vitamins faithfully and I try to get in my protein but I'm still a very slow loser. I am very thankful that I have not had any complications with this surgery but I'm just a little disappointed with the slow progress. Any advice is grateful. Many Blessings, Marilyn Lexington, KY 341/267/175 3/27/03 (-74lbs)
