Just to let you all know that they are giving Julie (green :( ) Jell-O and broth, she had it twice today, OH and some water also. She said the surgeon doesn't think the hole is as big as he thought. So it seems she is doing pretty good and she says she feels WONDERFUL!

I talked to Julie this evening, good news, the tumor is benign! They took the tube out of her throat today (I must say she sounds 99% better talking) she is just a little sore in her throat. They found a small leak in her pouch, they think it was the tube that caused it, Julie kept telling them that she felt it down there, guess they just don't listen sometimes. So now she can't drink or eat anything for 4 weeks. They put a (Picc Line) in her arm, this was placed between her elbow and underarm (the fatty part of the underarm). For the 4 weeks she has to be fed artificial nutrient through that line. She said the surgeon made her pouch a little smaller then normal. Don't know the reason. For all of you who know the trouble she was having with her Mom helping her listen to this, she has to have someone feed her for those 4 weeks and who ever that would be had to go to the hospital and take a 2 hour training course on it, well guess who is doing it-her Mom! and she also told her that she and her kids are coming to her house (her Mom's house) for the 4 weeks so Julie can recuperate. Isn't that fantastic? Julie thinks she will be in the hospital yet until the end of this week. She is not sure what day she will be released at this time.

Just an update on Julie. She is doing fine, she was told that there was no cancer, but that was only the next day after her surgery. They are still doing further biopsy testing and I guess Julie will hear more on Monday. Julie told me she figures everything is OK or she would of heard by now. I couldn't agree more with her. It is Saturday and her surgery was Tuesday. She still has the tube down her throat that is through her nose and it is getting bothersome having it in so long, she sometimes gets dry caughs with it, very understanding, it can get a little spooky too. It feels like it wants to pop out. Poor thing. She still wasn't checked for leaks, she figured both with be taken care of by Monday. She also has a JP tube, she said that will probably come out Monday. Julie was to have a lap, but her surgeon changed his mind after making the lap incisions and did the open on her, he must of noticed then that she had a problem with the liver. Julie get some rest and I will be talking to ya tomorrow. Love ya friend, and I am so happy everything seems to be going OK.

Julie is in my prayers as well. Everyone say a prayer that she is recovering well and that her liver biopsy is negative for cancer.

Everyone please, Julie needs our prayers. As you know Julie had her surgery today, she went in at 1 and was in recovery at 6. I have some disturbing news, her surgeon found a tumor on her liver. He removed part of the tumor to have a biopsy done. She is in intensive care. I do not know at this point if her gallbladder was removed. She was to have a lap, but from what I heard she had an open. I will post more information tomorrow when I get it. Please remember Julie in your prayers.

Hi Julie, well soon you will be on the other side, we spent a long time together through this, I think a little over a year now, we met on AOL WLS board and shared some really good times together, loads of laughs and sad times too. I had my surgery in May, and now it is finally going to be your turn. I am so happy for you, I hope everything goes smooth for you tomorrow, that all the paper work is complete. I am looking forward on going through this big step in your life with you now. You deserve to have the best and this will be a big step for you to have the best. A whole new life. Happy New Birthday my friend. Good Luck on Tuesday. Until I hear from Kenny, you will be in my prayers and thoughts that all went smooth for you. Love Ya Diane
