We are hoping Susan will be home Monday;
keeping our fingers crossed.
She had been running a fever and a slight elevation of blood pressure so they kept her today.
Tomorrow she'll get chest x-rays and if vitals are stable she'll be going home.
She has been having nausea while trying to tolerating fluids and couldn't stand the smell of broths. However for the first time today she was able to take a pill for nausea.
This make a huge difference for her and she is not tolerating liquids better. She got down
3 ounces of cranberry juice; her fever and blood pressure were coming down as well.
It appears that she is turning the corner, heading for home.
Just some tidbits for all of you "soon to be losers".
We discovered ice and water chilled washcloths wrapped around wrists help reduce feverish feeling; when placed on her forehead and mouth, her nausea subsided
Thanks for all your support, prayers, visits, gifts, flowers, and phone
calls.
Sincerely,
Sista Sue W
