I had VBG 5 years ago. When I was making the decision on whether to have a VBG or a Gastric Bypass, my doctor was adamant about the VBG. To be honest - in hindsight - she pretty much cut me off when I began to discuss GB. I now realize that she wasn't totally informed about the pros and cons of both surgeries. I wish I had listened to the voice in my head that was pointing me to GB. I learned I should trust my instincts. Now I am beginning the path to have my VBG revision. I quit losing weight after 6 months and 70 pounds. I stabilized for about 2 years and have not started gaining steadily. Nothing I do seems to work. I am a successful woman in all aspects of my life with the exception of my weight. I have truly failed when it comes to weight. Wish me luck in this new journey!
