Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)…Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly and take lots of pictures…the transformations will make your jaw drop!!! RNY 10/31/03 – down 93 pounds!!! Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the care and concern. Since my surgery on March 24th, I have not been on the computer until today. I am staying with my sister since I live 3 hours away. Hopefully to go home very soon! I am 2 weeks post-op today and have lost 27lbs. I am doing good at this point. They also found a hernia on my belly button during my surgery and removed it. I was in the hospital for 2 nights. I am feeling a little ruff at times. I had some pockets of fluid build up around a few of my incisions. I had no clue what it was, one of the incisions came open just a little and drained a lot and scared me to death at first. The doctors office told me to push as much of this fluid out when that happened and it would help me. Doing better now except one incision that just won't open to drain. But, I go to the doctor in the morning. Again thanks for caring and God Bless all!

Some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. I was on holiday when you had your surgery and didn't get the opportunity to wish you well prior to your surgery. However, I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Good luck and God Bless!!! RNY 10/31/03 down 78 pounds!!! Deneise Stigen
