Hi eveyone. I just wanted to update with everyone. I am one year post-op today. I have lost 124 pounds and have dropped from size 4x to 16s. I have had a lot of problems but I would do everything all over again. I want to thank all of those you posted Happy ReBirthday wishes to my profile. It is nice to know others are thinking about you. I am more then happy to share anything with anyone else. I think ofthis surgery as an answer to a prayer. I never thought I would be at this weight in only one year. I still have about 45 pounds to go till goal, but I am very happy at this weight. I had this surgery to get healthy and be able to do things as a family. I can do this now and I am healthy so I am happy. Barbara

Barbara is a member of my local support group and I can personally tell you that she has done awesome over the last year. At our last meeting Barbara had lost an amazing 124lbs! Her journey wasn't an easy one and she had some complications along the way but Barbara has continued her journey with courage and determination! Barbara Ann, So glad to hear you are doing so well. I have my Appt. with Dr.Symmonds on May 7 and I hope he ask me if I want to have mine in 9 days. You know as time gets closer sure do seem to have more butterflies flying around my stomach. I keep reading this board and see how wonderful it would be to be on the other side. May the good Lord keep shinning on you as you are progressing alonghave really enjoyed our emails.

Barbara, There were a couple of reasons I wanted to be your angel. I learned from your profile that you are a christian and another thing is that you have the same name as my Mother who is gone on to be with the LOrd and I miss dearly. I see your surgery is already over as I write this, but know that I am praying for you from this moment on. Let us know when you can. Sandy
