~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Hello Ms. Angela, You wrote me today so I wanted to check out your profile... The beginning of your's sounds just like mine. I gained 90 pounds with my first and 50 pounds with my second. Anyhoo.. Your profile is very pretty but if I'm not mistaken, you had your surgery already right? How about an update? Let the AMOS world know how you are doing. Us pre-ops LOVE reading profiles. Thanks again for lending your support to me in my time of frustration. I hope I'm able to check back here in a day or so and see an update. Peace and God Bless you and your family.

Even befor I saw you profile page I thought you were an angle to take the time to write to me. It was very special to me that you share that you had been through the same thing. I just want to say thank you...thank you.

Angela- I am still pre-op but have read the boards for a long time. It seems that many people go through a depression after sugery. After all, many of us use the food as comfort, take away what we have used for comfort.... well you need to replace it with something. I have heard people say that they have had to replace their comfort food with something else (exercise, scrapbooking, a new hobby...) Also, use support groups! They will help you know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Hang in there, talk to your Dr, talk to your support group. It WILL get better!!

Angela, I think it's very normal to be depressed after the surgery. It's such a big build up and then you have it done and Bam! You leave the hospital with the same ol body only now it hurts more. Combined with what I'm sure is some residual post partem depression and if I were you I'd get some help! Looks like you're doing that though! Keep up the great work and remember that this too shall pass...
