Immediately post surgery

May 25, 2017

I already posted about peeing and no one wants to hear more about that.

I am so very happy that everything and I mean every little damned thing went so well and smoothly for me. I had wanted to stay a 2nd night and was pleased it worked out that way (I really was trying to pee, honest).

Even my arrangements for post-op transportation worked perfectly. Then the shoe dropped. Not a huge thing but enough that it quite upset me. My pharmacist refused to fill my Tramadol RX for pain. "It is contra-indicated with the other meds you're taking" - Excuse me lady, I'll be on it for 4 days and have already been taking it for two! who the #$%&# do you think you are thinking you know better than the specialists from a Bariatric Centre of Excellence!

My friends came back with the delauded and rabeprazole but not the one thing I needed NOW! Grrrr. I had to go to the pharmacy myself, in my wheelchair. It was the last straw for that pharmacy - enough is enough, I'm moving my prescriptions to another chain/store.

On the funnier side of things, farting. I have let some good ones go and it's very confusing... do I celebrate or appologize? err, sorry about that but ah, it was absolutely necessary. And what about all the gurgling in the intestines??? I'd always thought those noise came from the stomache, but given how I don't have one any longer and they have been noisier than ever... like my own little orchestra.

Okay, gotta go back to bed. pooped.
