Over 7 years post open rny reversal,  16 year laproscopic rny "vet" , who participates in the wls community, to help other peers, regarding bariatric surgery whether one has an optimal to catastrophic outcomes.

I also try to remove stigma regarding mental health issues, as far as they can play into creating a need for bariatric surgery and how medications for both medical and mental health can cause weight issues and to provide support. As well as doing "armchair advocacy" for need for better treatment options with less side effects, as I gained almost all my excess weight back due to old school psychotropics (didn't get diagnosed with BPD2 until almost 7 years post rny)  BEFORE my gastric bypass was reversed (due to high risk of dying from multiple gi bleeds, multiple times) on 9-7-2010.

And try to support all the other unique situations, sometimes that our bariatric surgeries can present us.

I'm not anti-wls (I was around the time of my reversal) and I support surgical interventions for Obesity.

I kindly ask, that if I'm not clear about something, as I try to be kind, but can be a little blunt, that you ask for clarification, if I'm not crystal clear on a response.

p.s. My gastric bypass originally saved my life, for not anything to do with weight issues. My bariatric surgeon found a potentially life threatening liver mass (and no personal or family history of liver issues) before I nearly died from my complications, almost 9 years later.

I can't make this stuff up!!! But I do try to help others and try to be a source of support in the wls communities.

Thank You!!! Wishing you the best of luck on your journies...
