My surgery date is set for February 8th. I am a bit nervous about it but have just put in God's hands. IMy surgeon requires some weight loss before surgery, so I am on a liquid protein diet during the day with a small meal at night. I have to lose 10 pounds before surgery. I am glad he requires this as it is helping my body adjust to the new diet. It will not be such a shock after the surgery. I am having a revision to a RNY. More risks, but I am hoping for a good outcome. I have an excellent surgeon (VanderKolk). He is one of the best in Michigan from what I have heard and has done many revisions. His partner is Dr. Scholten who has even more experience was voted one of the Midwest's best surgerons for a couple of years in a row. He will be assisting Vanderkolk with my surgery. I will post again after my surgery.
