Dear Bob, I haven't talked to you for awhile. I finally had a chance to read your journal entries on your profile. I, of course, knew that you had had tremendous success but, to see your story laid out like that, over an 18 month period, was very impressive. You used the tool of gastric bypass surgery beautifully and surpassed all expectations for the most successful results possible for that procedure. Your dedication to improve your diabetes and your overall health so as to literally save your own life is an inspiration to all of us. But most of all you took care of yourself and took responsibility for yourself to the best of your ability. I am very proud of you. You are my angel. Love, Wanda S.

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Hi, Bob; I nearly fell out of my chair here at work when I read your post about the dog thinking your drain was a ball and tried to run off with it! What a picture that paints in the mind!! LOL I know when I come home from the hospital, I'm gonna have my dh put the dogs outside before I come in the house so I have time to get on the couch and protect myself when they come in to see me! Midnight is usually very gentle, but Dudley is a little clumsy and very excitable. Both dogs are over 50 pounds, so one paw in the wrong spot and I'll be done for! I also wanted to thank you for all the advice you give on the message boards; it's so helpful to all us pre-ops, and I like that you don't sugar coat things, you tell it like it is. Thank you!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the nice well wishes for my friend george who had WLS today at Presby hospital with doctor Schauer. It went well and I left after he had been moved to recovery and the family had the good news. I figure he will be very tired today and plan on visiting him tomorrow. THANKS AGAIN!
