"Dr. O'Malley is very bussiness-like. He doesn't spend a lot of time hand-holding or making you feel comfortable with him. It is apparent when you meet him that he knows what he is doing and is more than competent in the Bariatric field. But, if you are looking for a surgeon with a big personality who will spend time chatting with you and comforting you, he isn't it. He is in high demand and is in surgery constantly, therefore, has no time to spend forever with his patients. He absolutely made me feel like I was making the right choice in going with him based on his experience in the field, and I have no regrets in going with him. My experience with the Bariatric team has been nothing but positive and my experience post-surgery so far has been nothing but positive. The only criticism I have is that I have had to wait for long periods of time (upwards of an hour) past my scheduled appointment time."
"I don't think I could have asked for anything else. For the most part the nurses and technicians were friendly and encouraging, got me meds when I needed them, and provided support for me when I needed it. I was discharged in a timely way and sent home with adequate instructions."
