Ok, it's been 2 years...where has the time gone? Oh my how my life has changed, and I swear I have this surgery and Dr. Valin to thank! I am recently married the the most beautiful woman in the world! I now know what love is! I play softball, I bowl, I'm active, I will take my shirt off, it's a different life all due to this surgery! I don't think I could be happier. I have gained back about 5lbs, but I believe that is normal. I have stayed the same weight the last year(like I said, within 5lbs, so I am fine) and I LOVE buying clothes. Please feel free to ask any questions, I will try to answer all of them.

It's been a while since my last post. Well, how things have changed. First off, I'm down to 213lbs (it fluctuates about 5lbs). I have never felt better! I'm engaged now! Life is wonderful! If anybody watches Maury Povich, you might have saw me on the show. I was on back in November for weight loss (I lost 234 total pounds!!). The next and final step is to get my hernia repaired and get rid of this extra skin. I'm finally able to see the "healthy" me now and now the fat person. People say they can't remember me like that, but I remember...and that keeps me eating healthy. Speaking of eating, I do tend to eat fairly normal portions. I'm not sure if that is common, but I can eat pretty normal, so to counter that, I eat nothing but healthy food. I play sports, life is just wonderful. I've never ever ever dumped, then again, I never gave myself the opportunity. I never threw up either, same reason. I wish everybody the best of luck like I have had. Since my surgery, my aunt and 2 of my friends (soon to be a 3rd) have followed my footsteps. That gives me a sense of satisfaction, I feel like I had a intregal part in helping them. Thank you for everybody for all your support!

Just past the 9 month mark. I started at 447, now I'm at 255! Almost at the 200lbs mark! I can't wait. I notice so many differences in the human behavior around me. Now when I go out and see a girl looking at me, it's because she might actually be checking me out, not because she's in awe of my size. I love shopping at normal stores and in the mall. There are so many small things that I never got to enjoy in my life that I am enjoying now. I'm playing softball, I'm going to clubs, I'm dancing and TRYING to find a girlfriend (still a tad shy). If you are looking at my pic and I'm wearing a flannel, it's the old pic. If I'm in shorts and a tank top, then it's me at 255 (although people tell me I look about 220ish. I guess it's the loose skin). Thanks for all the well wishes. The only thing I regret is that I didn't do this 6yrs ago!

Thank you for all the compliments. You just can't hear enough of them! I don't know about others, but I do still look in the mirror, and see a large person. I do go to restaurants, and ask for a table, not a booth. I do look at my pants that fit now, and wonder to myself...Gee, these will never fit, they won't get around my calf. It's weird, but, I know my body is going through amazing changes, yet, I still see a large person. I know I'm losing weight, heck, the scale is telling me so, but my mind, is still stuck on fat. Does anybody else have thoughts like this? I think if anything, it's more motivation to go to the gym, eat all the right foods to obtain nutrition, and stay on course. Maybe that's why I'm doing so well. Thanks for all your support, I feel as if I have thousands of angels to support me. Ralph Cerminara

Well, I'm almost at my 6 month mark. I've now lost 144lbs (in my pic, it's 134lbs). I feel like I'm a new person. This surgery has been a godsend for me. I was always an active person, but not as active as I thought. What a blessing.
