Happy Re-birthday to you!!! How cool is must be to be "normal!" I do really like your cuddly profile! I found this quote and just love it! When running up a hill, it’s alright to give up as many times as you wish – as long as your feet keep moving. By - Shoma Morita M.D. I can only imagine that your year has been wonderful. Well I had my surgery on Tuesday, April 8th at 3:00pm. The surgery was quick and successful. I was out of recovery by 7:00pm and I was up and walking on my own by 9:00pm. They told me that because my surgery was so late they would not get me up to walk until Wednesday, but at 9:00pm I was bored and feeling pretty good so I asked to get up and walk. They thought that this is wonderful. I had my barium leak test at 9:00am on Wednesday, this is the most GODAWFUL test after not having anything to eat and drink for 40 some hours. I did manage to keep the barium down some how and passed the test. Later in the day they did the blue water leak test and everything there was good to go. For dinner that evening I got 1 oz chicken broth and 1 oz sugar free jello - it tasted wonderful for myh first meal. I stayed in PICU until Wednesday evening and then was moved to a private room. It was wonderfully quiet, other than the nurses checking my vitals every 1-1 & 1/2 hours. The nurses all were very well informed and cam to make sure all my meals met the diet rules. I could have went home on Thursday evening but decided to wait until friday morning.
