Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I posted here. I had RNY gastric bypass in 2002. Lost from 318 to 160. However, over the years, bad habits, stress, drug addiction and severe depression led to regaining some weight. I was back up to 218. I started researching the Overstitch procedure and finally found an affordable but HIGHLY reputable surgeon in Albertville, Alabama. He has a self-pay all inclusive price which includes surgeon fees, hospital fees, anesthesia and operative meds, preop testing and first followup visit. The only cost I incurred was a hotel and travel expenses. I live in S.C. so my husband, my daughter and I drove the 7 hour trip on a Sunday, spent the night in hotel, my consult with surgeon was Monday, preop testing same day (Monday), procedure was early Tuesday morning. After procedure, within 2 hours, we were on the road headed back to S.C. Surgeon also did preop EGD to measure pouch and stoma at the same time of procedure so I only had to pay for 1 round of anesthesia and hospital fees, which were already included with self-pay price! Procedure was done 3/28/28017 and I am already down 14 pounds!! My stoma must be tiny tiny now, because I stay "full" for hours after I eat anything! I'm so happy I was able to have the Overstitch procedure done. I feel like I am back on track
