Thanks again to everyone's positive comments and well-wishes. My surgery lasted 45 minutes and there were no complications. My recovery was very swift and I had only mild pain. I was in the hosptial for less than 48 hours. Even the janitorial staff said I looked terrific--as if I never had surgery. I have walked over 5 miles in the past 2 days (easily over 5), and I feel wonderful. Little to no pain now(with pain meds as needed--only half doses). Looking forward to losing soon. Thanks again for all of your encouragement. Diana

Hi Diana! Congrats on having your surgery! Let the weight loss begin!! I bet you feel relieved now. It's over and now you are on the other side and can join the ranks of the losers. Welcome, my friend!!! Happy RE-Birthday to you! From this day forward you life will change forever. Just try to take it easy and remember to sip, walk, deep breathe and cough. Take those pain pills and splint the tummy! These first few days are rough, but I assure you they get better with each passing day. Some days those emotions will resurface and try to get the best of you, but just remember what you’ve been through to get this far! I’m sure you’ll be proud of what you’ve accomplished!! You know you can always come here and get a dose of confidence and good will! We will still be here to support you and cheer you on as the pounds come off! I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for an uncomplicated, swift recovery. You are an official loser!! Diana, My prayers for a swift, uncomplicated surgery and speedy recovery! You'll be on the Losing Side soon...and I DON'T mean football. (I didn't even know there WAS a professional womens football team out there!) Glad to hear your husband WILL be able to be with you on surgery day! Diane
