Hi Donny: I am sheryl in NM. I am now 7 months post op,loosing my hair,and dealing with the head hunger problem. I see my surgeon on March 18.I am really having a hard time with head hunger and sticking with my diet guidelines. I saw a nutritionist about 1 month ago and she said that It seems that I am doing very well and just keep working on it. I get 80+ oz. water, 80 grams protien, and about 15 min walking in sofar. I was wheelchair bound for 6 years or longer and now I can walk in any grocery store and departement store and I can put my own shoes and socks on now and that feels great.I get about 15 min exercise about 4 to 5 days a week. I want to start water therypy, and working out in my college gym. I am going to talk to my surgeon about that on the 18 of march. I have a hernia that adds about 70 lbs. to my apron and causes me to feel front heavy. I have lost 96 lbs., and 7 cloathing sizes sofar and cleaned out my closet about 2 times sofar.It is great to know I will never get to this weight again.I am still very cold and having a hard time with it this winter.I weigh 354 now down from 516 lbs in Feb. last year. My surgery was in July last year.I try to keep busy and try not to think about wanting to snack. I hope this helps you. Hi Donny, Yes there are two great surgeons one in Modesto and one in Manteca that are partners and do the LAP RNY. Dr. Coates (in modesto) and Dr. Coirin (in manteca). I had surgery with Dr. Coirin on Oct 1st and had a perfectly complication-free surgery!! i know the number of Dr. Coirin's office it's 209-824-5540. They can give you dr. coates number if you'd like.
