What's working for me...this week:-)

Well, I'm in my third week of re-dedication to lifestyle change. Hubby is still on-board, and here are our current strategies that are working:

  • Weigh-in once a week together to provide accountability. It's hard for me to let hubby see THE NUMBER, but he's pretty loving about it :-)

  • Tracking all food in Lose It app on our phones

  • Some kind of movement 3 x a week for 20-30 min (this is the one I have slacked on)

  • Self-hypnosis for chocolate and sugar. I listen to each one once, daily, and I have noticed an impact. Walked through Target and Walmart Valentine candy hell, CVS candy hell and didn't even feel a tug to buy anything, which I usually would do. 

  • Trying to drink more protein supplements. I so far like the Pure Protein powder, chocolate, got on Amazon for $9.91, and got the Nectar variety pack, with some trepidation, I remember it from long ago...but tried the Grapefruit one today and it was good...mix the whole packet with 12 oz cold water in a shaker. Was able to use that for lunch. 

I'm still struggling with candy/chocolate in the house. The hypnosis is working in as much as I'm not bingeing, and it's not calling to me from the pantry making me feel psycho, but I have thise deep seated resentment of not being able to have it at all, which makes me tack it onto my dinner for the last 100 calories of the day. Hubby has been able to stay away from it and is losing more than me...so I know it is the difference. 

So far I've lost 4lbs, and with my goal being 2lbs a week...that's okay :-)
