Weight Loss Surgery

"This is a great reference book both pre and post surgery. It gives everything from the process of getting wls, good, bad, and ugly about the different types of wls to post surgery food phases and beyond. (Including receipes, plastic surgery, etc.) I'm 2 years out and still refer to occasionally. It was very helpful for me to decide what I do and understand what was to happen."

"At the seminar, Dr. Brader came across as campassionate and competed. Whenever I've spoken to his office staff, they bent over backwards to help. Right now I'm rather angry. I had my surgery September 15 and didn't get out of hospitals/nursing home/rehab for almost 10 months due to complications to surgery. I also had to have 3 more operations: remove 3 cups of infection from abdomen, to correct the gastric bypass, and to do reconstructive work on my intestines. I also had a cash of pancreatitus. While in the nursing home during the last stages of my complications, I developed a surgical hernia. The nursing home called Dr. Braders office on 3 seperate occasions to help me with this problem. Yet nothing was done in the way of lab work, xrays, or scheduling appointments to check out my physical conditions. After I got home, I spoke to another surgeon to fix the hernia. And yes, the new surgeon did fix it. Posted on Feb. 6, 2011, 8:21 p.m. "

Lancaster General Health

"The nursing staff is phenomenal. They were concerned, caring, and always ready to go the distance. I had severe complications due to my wls and was eventually sent to another hospital. The 2nd hospital couldn't get over how high the level of care I was given at Lancaster, especially in the skin care area. (I was bedridden for 5 months at that point."
