Paul Cirangle

" I waited to do this review till I was over the "hump" and a clear view of my experience could be accounted for.... I searched the country for a top VSG surgeon.... And guess what.... It kept coming back to Dr. Cirangle in San Francisco...my home town! My first meeting with him was very informative... he answered all my questions and than some. I had heard he was not the type to "Sugar Coat" things.... And that's what I needed. This was my last attempt to get my act together and avoid all the health issues that are inherent in my family history. He had me meet with his nutritionist and before you know it I was scheduled in for VSG surgery in 3 weeks! I started out at 338lbs. (Super Morbidly Obese) with a BMI of 55 (big boy!) I am now 153lbs. with a normal BMI of 25 and maintaining. Total weight loss of 185lbs. I have learned a lot in this time and I would warn any potential VSG patients that not all VSG's are created equal! Dr. Cirangle has his own techniques that he has developed, based on results and has a very high success rate among his patients. Going into this I had no (zero) intention of participating in "Support Groups" I'm not a joiner of groups..... Well, things change.... I now look forward to Dr. Cirangles Support Groups.... which he runs himself! Getting regular "face time" with Dr. Cirangle has been a huge benefit that I wasn't expecting when I first started this endeavor. Aftercare.....Yes, it's available and encouraged. Open access to the nutritionist (Amy) has been great also. Don't let anyone fool you.... this is real surgery.... and there are risks and you need a competent surgoen....If there is better than Dr. Cirangle... I didn't find him/her. In my experience with Dr. Cirangle.... he has acted correctly in all phases of my journey and I am very grateful. frisco "
