Jen, you did a great job getting through surgery. Congrads, you will be loosing soon enough. Take it easy when you come home, keep your feet up so you don't get blood clots. Do the best you can with eating, I know it will seem like alot of food and drinking, it does get better. Keep in mind you will be back on your feet before you know it. My surgery was one year ago on Feb 22...you can do this and you will feel so much more healthier and happier. God bless you - I will keep you in my prayers. Deb k

I'm Jennifer's sister, Joy. Her surgery went well. The doctor said it was very routine and she was his star patient. (I'm sure he says that to everyone. lol) Her surgery was an hour and a half long. Recovery was a couple of hours. She was quite groggy - to be expected - right after she arrived in ICU. The doctor wanted to keep her there overnight because of her history of sleep apnea and high blood pressure. And they both will be history. *Thank you, Lord* When I left the hospital after 8pm she still hadn't gotten up to walk around. Jen doesn't do all that well with pain. But her night nurse said she should at least try before bedtime. My mom and I both prayed she would have the strength to do so. We also prayed angelic protection and the peace to sleep in Daddy's arms tonight. When we left she had color in her face and was sweaty. She had gotten sick - mostly blood and mucous - but was doing as good as was expected. Keep her in your prayers, friends. Joyous - sister and best friend *smiles* Thank you for your prayers.
