Thanks for posting to my page. Did you have to lose weight before the surgery? Was it difficult? How are things going for you? Some people have told me that the first year after the surgery is the hardest physically, but the following years are more difficult mentally. Are you still eating healthy? I saw you at the Spring Recital, but was too shy to say hello.....well....I am not really shy, but I didn't want to bother you. Actually, I was sitting right behind you, and my parents were to your side. I pointed you out to them because they are concerned with me having the surgery, and I wanted them to see someone who has had it done and is healthy. Peace to you, Joanna

Glenn~~thanks for your support in posting to Charl's surgery page. I hope things are still going GREAT for you. I had a Boston Terrier for 18 years and she was the best! OK, I'll admit--Pugs are cute too!!! Happy Days

Any friend of Alice's is OK by me!! Good things happen to people who are not afraid to take a chance. After all, taking a chance on life, on others and on yourself is what living is all about. I’m sure you have heard the old maxim that says there is nothing to fear but fear itself. That is so true. Once you finally realize that fear is nothing more than a feeling and that you can keep that feeling under control, your days of letting fear run you life are over. I send this to you, because fear used to run my life and this surgery has helped me face it and run my own life now! It will for you too! God Bless, Cheryl

I'm feeling SO good. Lost about 140lbs now. Everyday just keeps getting better. I'm so excited to see what tomorrow brings. I can't thank everyone enough for their support. Without you all it would have been a lonely road. I'm having the time of my life.
