My name is Heather, I am 47 years old, divorcee, and I have had a nice life, except for one thing that controlled my life....my weight, I WAS morbidly obese.
I have worked for the last 23 years for a stock brokerage firm and love it! I have been overweight almost all of my life. In high school, I weighed 141 lbs; In my college years, I weighed 190 lbs; and the last fifteen years I have slowly creeped up to 271 (with various failed diets along the way). When I started having problems with my feet, back, knees, and fatigue, I decided enough was enough.
So I researched weight loss surgery on the internet and discussed it with several people I knew who had weight loss surgeries. Everything clicked and I knew this was the tool that I needed to lose the weight forever. I have been successful in the past with losing weight, but I could never keep it off, and always gained it back plus a good 25% more. This has happened at least on 4 occasions, much to my dismay.
I have now begun the process to lose weight forever! So.....check out my archives starting in January 2006!
