OK, let me try this again: 12/04 05:53 PM I just wanted to let all of you know that I had my surgery and I'm doing great! I would have updated sooner but I was having some technical issues that I finally figured out, thanks to Amy W. Anyway, I am 2 weeks 2 days post-op and life couldn't be better. I'm eating everything I want, but making sure I get my 60 grams protein in a day. I do have some problems on occasion with esophageal spasms but I'm learning how to prevent it (if only I could burp on demand! ;)) As of today I've lost 32lbs. I feel great, energetic, and hopeful. A great big thank-you to My Blue-Eyed Wonder, Dr. Philip Schauer, and to his staff, for being so positive, encouraging and understanding regarding this ultimate, life-changing event. And God bless all of you here, who gave me a glimpse into the good, the bad and the ugly, and for all of your encouragement. Overall, I felt I was very well-prepared, thanks to all of you. I can't believe I'm a Post-Op! Woo-hoo!!! — Laura Cornelius
