Surgery Day Approaching

Hello Everyone.  

Received my Surgery date on Friday. It is scheduled for Thursday Feb 1,2018.  I go for pre admission tomorrow to find out the time of surgery.  I am not nervous but I am worried about the pain afterwards. I am not big on pain. When I had my hysterectomy I was in excruciating pain and had to take 2 different pain meds.  I’ve lost 11 lbs so far. Everyone keeps saying that if I lose more then I won’t need the surgery. But I keep telling them that I need to do this for myself, I need to be healthy and right now this high protein diet is  helping but I need the next step to help me as well.  Did anyone experience excruciating pain after surgery? I am also having my gall bladder removed.  

I hope everyone is staying warm. Today it was a high of 20 here
