I am starting this journey as a 33 year old wife and mom of two. My Daughter is Emily she is almost 11 years old and my Son is Gavin and he is 7. I am also an identical twin.
I have considered Gastric Bypass surgery before and I have always chickened out...its not that I don't want to be healthy, fit, sexy, etc. Its that I am terrified. I have never had surgery before, with the exception of having my babies I have never been in the hospital before. But guess what? Like you, I have tried to loose weight, Atkins, WW, "moderation"... and I have failed. I know that unless I have a tool in this journey I won't make it. SO...its time for me!! Its time to stand up and say "Im not afraid", its time for me to do something that will make me happy and healthy.
So here starts MY journey. I have a Dr.'s appointment scheduled for June 5th 2012 and will be getting a referral!!
