These days

Jun 05, 2017

Well, it's been a journey, that is for sure. I'm down about 50 lbs now. Just short of four months post-op. Just 30 lbs made a huge difference. The range of motion is something that continues to excite me. I've been working out steadily and seem to have got a good pattern down. Two boot camp classes during the week, active recovery, steps and yoga/stretching on those other three days, and killer hikes on the weekends. Usually a long one for distance, and a second shorter hike for elevation and endurance.

Food has been a whole different story. So careful in the beginning. Not so careful now. Still figuring out my limits but do need to focus more on healthy foods. I have recently discovered I have a chocolate addiction. It started off with me adding a tablespoon of semi-sweet chocolate chips to my menus every day. Then it became a meal of 1/4 cup.

I'm trying to eat super clean, and healthy during the week. And if I'm going to have something...  like 5 chicken wings... I save that for the weekends. I want to pay closer attention to my macros and track a little better than I have of late. Stick closer to my calorie targets. Gone are the days I struggled to get 800 in. Now I am doing 1200 and sometimes 1500 a day.
