Happy Canada Day!

I crocheted these cute maple leaf coasters before Christmas, but thought they were perfect for Canada Day too.

If I didn't have such a bad headache, I'd make a few more in only red and white.

I love my country, and am blessed to be able to live in an area surrounded by clean air, and lots of nature.  

Last week my friend Albert went to a waterside park for coffee before work, and saw a young moose.  The week before he saw a bear cub.  I was jealous, because I haven't seen any yet this year, but here's a little bear that ran right at me last year.  I picked up my little dog in one hand, snapped a photo with the other, and the flash scared him off, thankfully.  I'm not afraid of adult bears because they are pretty polite and stay away, but the juveniles don't know any better, lol.  Sorry the photo isn't great; my hands were shaky, and the light was dim; it was getting dark.
