Kathie, I am glad to hear you have gotten better since your surgery. I know how you felt in high school, cause I was there with you, litterally! I was a classmate with the same problem. I am sorry to hear that you had so many problems, but now you can try to enjoy life. CONGRADULATIONS!!

Angel report: I spoke with Kathie yesterday and she is home from the hospital now. She is still on the feeding tube and will be until she can sustain herself by her eating only. She was in good spirits and feels like she can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel....it was very nice to hear the 'old Kathie' again. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers for her. She really needed them and continues to.

I was in the hospital the same time as Kathie. We spoke yesterday before I was discharged. This has been so hard on her and her family. I wish her all the best. Please send her your well wishes. She is a beautiful young woman, and does not deserve this.

Dear Kathie.........I'm so sorry about all the trouble you are having post surgery! I hate throwing up and it has to be a real trial for you. I wish you all the very best. I was throwing up for a while and it is a real pain. I came across Roux Stasis Syndrome. It's where the stomach muscles do not work properly and do not work the food down into to the stoma to carry the food out. It just sits in your pouch til you throw up. You might consider asking your doctor about this to rule it out. Big hugs and God bless.

Hi Kathie- I know this may sound cliche, but try to calm your body's reaction to the new stomach with meditation. Try to control your new pouch with positive thoughts and encouragement. Almost like you were talking to it like a child... This tecnique has worked for me in several situations where I was nervous & scared (two C-sections for instance). Meditation is (sometimes) so helpful in controlling pain or muscle spasms. It just might help you cope a little bit better. God Bless you and hang in there. You are surrounded by people, both physically and virtually, who are wishing you the best and praying you will be home soon! Best wishes ~
