I am 54 for the next 2 weeks. I weigh 267 lbs at 5'6" the heaviest I have been is 275. I had some health problems in 2001 that lasted till 2006 and changed my life...I gained about 80 lbs in that time and although I have fought this extra weight and lost 40 lbs here and there I would always gain more back...I was a RN before the illness that left me on long term disability....After getting my mind wrapped about that loss then the loss of my marriage, I decided I could not just lie down and give up! I am back up and fighting, the upcoming surgery is just another step towards rejoining life...although the new life has some differences I want to wring all the goodness I can out of it!
