Khadija I want to say, I know how you feel. I am waiting for my insurance at this point. I haven't said anything to my family yet. My husband is beside me. I needed to say to myself this is going to help me live longer. I wish you all the luck. If you need someone to talk to email me. I to live in MD.

Peace and blessings to all AMOS members. You are all like family to me. I have been lurking twice a day for months now and enjoy reading the posts. By the way, a few days before my surgery in January, I had to cancel because of the enormous pressure I was having from my family. They were scared that I was going to die and leave them behind. I have, however, done a lot of research and decided that this is the tool I need to lose weight and make my co-morbidities at least get better. I have educated them to the best of my ability and they are now on my side. I had another consult with my surgeon early in August and all the papers have been sent to the insurance company. I am praying that I get approved again because I very much regret my decision in cancelling the surgery. By now I would have been far gone with my weight loss. It has been a month since I saw him and I am still waiting. I have BCBS of Maryland. I was diagnosed with diabetes three years ago and now have knee trouble which makes even walking as a form of exercise really hard. According to my surgeon's scale I now weigh 258lbs - an increase of 15lbs since January. I am still waiting.

Peace Khadija, I hope you are able to reschedule your surgery because it is worth it. I have been fortunate to have no complications thus far, I'm down 20lbs and feel mentally and physically better already. I feel blessed and will try to honor the prayers I made for success. Take care!

Dear Khadija~~~~~~I am so sorry to read that you had to postpone your start at your new life after surgery. You and your family are in my prayes. I hope that nothing is too terribly wrong and that you can reschedule your surgery very soon. peace karen byers

I had to cancel my surgery (which was schedule for today) because of some family issues I had to resolve. Thanks everyboby for the support.
