This last week I finally began having NSVs! I am pre-surgery, haven't really thought too much about having NSVs in this stage of my journey. But, even having only lost 25.5lbs, so far, I'm having NSVs.

All of my pre-surgery requirements have been completed, most of them for months. The final requirement (my supervised weight loss classes) was completed 2 weeks ago on 10/7. I was originally told (on 8/27) by my surgeon that my surgery would be the en

This is a Rachel Ray recipe.I saw this on Facebook and thought I would give it a whirl. I'm so glad I did! It is wonderful and makes enough for multiple individual meals, or to feed 3-4 people. I'm going to make it again, using it as a filling for a

Someone once mentioned to me that Greek yogurt can be used as a thickening agent in recipes (instead of cornstarch or flour). If anyone knows of this, how much is used? Is there a conversion chart?

Today is day 32 on my SWL diet. As of this morning I have lost 14.5 pounds. Except for the first 3 days, when I could have eaten both of my arms, it has not been bad. I won't say it's been easy but it hasn't been bad. If we go out to dinner, which

I just have to ask, what does NSV stand for? I can usually figure these things out but not NSV. LOL!

I have been having a devil of a time finding a multivitamin. I was wanting a chewable (not gummie) with 18% iron. It seemed that the iron percentage was the kicker. However, after a lot of searching I found the Centrum Chewables would fit my needs p

Today I located a few old recipes I kept from one of my WW attempts about 30 years ago. This one is delicious chili; it was unlimited so I'm thinking it could be almost unlimited for us.

It's Sunday morning and I'm laying in bed while reading OH. A thought just occurred to me with regards to the hospital stay when I have my RNY surgery.

I know this journey to which I am about to embark requires exercise. My ability to walk is very limited. I have read on OH that if walking is a problem, then biking is also recommended.

I will be having my surgery towards the end of this year. I will probably be having RNY but won't know that for certain until my August 28th consult with the surgeon. Meanwhile, I'm reading everything I can so I will be mentally and physically prepar
