Mardi Gras - I read your post asking about PAIN I just Posted this: GOOD LUCK NEXT WEEK - YOU'LL DO FINE! MAY 30, 2006 ONE WEEK POST- OP Thank You Everyone for Your Prayers! It's over ,,,, and I would do it over again tomorrow. I cann't say enough positive things about my surgeon DR Emma Patterson & Her Staff! - They are soooo awesome! The whole experience was a wonderful New Birth. DR. Patterson & the Obesity Center at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland ,,,, are,,,,,,STRICT - But I am Glad. I weighed in at 284 & normal Blood sugars. went in Monday and got out on Wednesday! There was one event ( my surgery took one hour Longer than usual) I had a lot of Bleeding ! I don't know why - I stopped taking my asprin a week before! Another DR told mine , he has seen that happen with red heads ( I am Irish but not a redhead) My DR says she thinks I may have got my Shot to prevent Blood clots too soon. Could be ,,,,,, they were so busy! I got on the surgery table at 12:45 and when they took me to my room after recovery it was almost 7:30 p.m. They thought I may need some blood the next day BUT ..... My blood work was great & I didn't need any WHEN I Got Home I felt really GOOD and by Thursday I decided, "I'm not even having any pain" - I will stop my Percoset & just take liquid tylenol Well, HELLO MARILYN,,,, I was not having pain because the medication was WORKING! I got right back on my pain med!!!!! I do hope to get off of it soon,,,,,,, my Husband keeps asking me why I am talking so mean to him! It is hard to tell someone what to do & what you need when I would do it so different. My Husband is awesome & soon I will be sweet again :) SO NOW 1 more week of Liquid Diet. Oh I weigh 279 now. seasidemarilyn
