I've read that K can't compete with A & D for absorption so it's best to take K away from those two. This makes my vitamin schedule much more complicated.
I'm wondering if that advice only applies to oil-packed vits for normies and not us?

Had my DS in December, 2015. Prior to surgery my copper and ceruloplasmin (copper carrying protein essential for copper transport to cells) was in the low, but normal range. Since surgery they both keep dropping despite continually increasi

I'm interested in getting a tummy tuck (abdominplasty). I live in LA so if the surgeon were near Tijuana or Mexicali I wouldn't have to fly which would be a nice plus.
I now Dr. Sauceda has excellent reviews, but isn't there someone in TJ tha

Moments like these are when I feel overwhelmed by the DS upkeep. My iron has always been borderline low but, with the DS, it tanked. I just got back an interim set of 5-month results that I can't interpret.
Ferritin is higher (went from 39 t

Polyssacharide and Carbonyl aren't moving my numbers in the right direction? Does anyone take Iron Bisglycinate (i.e Ferrochel)?
If so, how much do you take?
Thanks!

I've had some constipation issues with my iron. In addition I like that with Proferrin you don't need additional C and can take it without worrying that it will be blocked by certain foods so I'm going to ask my doctor for a prescription.

I get that most gas is diet based, but, still, what have you tried (and what were the results)?
Probiotocs (if so, which)?
Greek yogurt?
Devrom?
Charcoal underwear?

I'm just trying to figure out this question for possible surgery scheduling. My job is not physically strenous. Some standing and walking around, but that's about it. The bathroom is 50 yards away and it sometimes might take me a few minutes before

According to my doctor, my sleeve is stretched to the size of a "tennis ball." I feel like my capacity is now about 1/2 of what is was pre VSG, and about double that of a "mature sleeve." As an example, I can eat a whole sandwich and an apple OR a 9 ou

Hey there Vets,
Went to the Dr. and he told me my sleeve was stretched to about the size of a "tennis ball." No danger, but restriction is not great. In fact, I never lost more than 45% of my excess weight (at 8 months post surgery) and got ba

Dear DSers,
I'm a 37 BMI with mild hypertension and cholesterol. Other than that I'm in pretty good shape for a 285 pound (I'm 6'3") 51-year-old.
I had a sleeve 5 years ago which is somewhat stretched. I only came down from 320 to 260

Forgive me if answers have been posted elsewhere, but I've been searching for eight hours and my eyes are bleary.
Kaiser is offering me a revision from my sleeve to an RNY. Since having the sleeve in Dec 2009, I only lost 55 pounds and have re
