Hello and congratulations on your wls. I haven't had mine yet, so I can't speak from personal experience, but a good friend has had gastric bypass surgery and she has had several MRI's over the last few years without any problem at all. I have not been told by my surgeon about that either. Just wanted to give you a second opinion.Blessings,

hi lisa!! :) congrats on your surgery.. i will be having a lap rny on january 16th.. how are you feeling?? great i hope.. may i ask why they had to change to open?i too worry about that possibility.i wish you continued safe healing!! smile!! you've started a great healthy life..have great holidays!!p.s. my niece lisa had open rny on october 24th and is doing great too.best of luck to you lisa!! :) jeanne/ca
