Hi, Melissa Just want to say Hi & wish you a rapid recovery, if I don't talk to you before the 11th. remember to keep busy & try not to hyperfocus on all the details of the surgery. Do you have something to keep your mind busy while in hosp, if you can't take your meds? Thinking of ya :) Dawn

Hey thanks for your comments about my pictures! It is hard some times to think of oneself as pretty when you are obese. Too many people say the meanest things. So I appreciate the pat on the back. I saw on your site that you liek to take pictures. So do I. Here are some if you want to check them out. http://community.webshots.com/album/36156013aNsLFL http://community.webshots.com/album/37813825ayRpwW I have these really nice ones of NH but web shots will only let you posts so many. Good luck with your surgery. I had mine 9-9-03 and am doing well. I have lost 40lbs and have not had any problems at all. make sure post-op you walk to keep from getting blood clots and deep breathe and cough to keep from getting pneumonia.Sharon

It's finally a "reality" and your special day is right around the corner - <b>Congratulations!!</b>     This is a second chance to LIVE life again.  No words can express the freedom that comes with this surgery.   My humble advice?  Walk as much as possible after surgery.  It'll be tough at times and you'll find that you'd much rather cuddle with your pillow then get out of bed.  Don't!!  Get up and walk, walk and walk it'll help with the overall surgery and recovery results.   As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging back the drinks in baby [pouch] gulps.  Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, <u>YOU are worth it.</u>   Also, let's not forget your new best(est) friend, water.  It is SO important to get your minimum 64 oz in daily.  One final thing, <b>CELEBRATE</b> all the special moments along the way, big or small.  Too many people focus only on <i>numbers</i>, ie. pounds lost.  There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace on this journey.   Enjoy your new healthier life, you've more then earned it!!  <i>"To grow, you must be willing to let your present and future be totally <u>unlike</u> your past. Your history is not your destiny." -- Alan Cohen </i> ....Hugs and Smiles  : )
