Friday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne

Hi Missy: Yes, stock up on protein drinks, cottage cheese, broth jello, non fat refried beans, Progresso lentil or black bean soup, and tofu and canned tuna. That is all I've been eating so far. I've done very well with it. I tried eggs, but it did not agree with me. Never had a problem with them before, but for some reason I do now. But its ok, not the end of the world if I cant eat eggs.

Hi Missy: I am 2 wks post op. I am drinking the Bariatric Advantage protein shakes that are meal replacements. I also found a great protein drink that is great for supplimentation. It is "Isopure" I got it at a GNC store and it has 40 grams of protein (20 oz.) No carbs or sugar. My doctor said it is a great choice for protein supplimentation. It comes in about 5 different flavors.

Hi Missy, I just had my lap surgery 3 days ago. So far I am doing great. I attribute this to the fact that I was in great pulmonary and cardiovascular shape prior to the surgery. If possible, walk as much as you can before the surgery. Do everything they tell you. I started on my protein drinks and vitamins today. Get plenty of rest after the surgery. Water, and walking will be your best friends after the surgery. But I can't stress enough the walking before and after surgery it makes a huge difference. You'll do great! Good luck!
