I am a 35 year old woman who is a Mother of 2 children, wife and a compliance officer for an ATM company. I have been trying to get the gastric band for 3 years and finally had it done 9 days ago. I have been a member on this site since February 2006 but never filled everything out because I was so upset that I get getting denied for my surgery. During the 3 years I have went up and down in my weight and finally hit 70lbs more since trying to get the surgery approved.
I haven't always been been heavy all my life it started in my 20s but it was totally manageable until I had my second child it went down hill. I developed health issues (throid disease) and my weight flucuated all the time and really hit an all time high. My goal is to get to where I was before I had children if not lower and get healthy...
